The 8th Arab Scientific Conference on Nurturing Gifted and Talented Students

The 8th Arab Scientific Conference on Nurturing Gifted and Talented Students in Amman, Jordan was held on the 16th and 17th of October. The conference theme was "Gifts and Talents... Vital Points in the Lives of Nations". Internationally recognized scientists, prominent figures, professionals in educational excellence and specialists in the field of gifted education from various Arab countries attended the conference. The conference provided a great opportunity to exchange experiences and programs in the field of nurturing gifted education and educational reform.

I represented the Lebanese International University by presenting a paper in which I proposed the integration of problem-based techniques in teaching. For this purpose, I proposed projects in learning which I designed and called Learning Tour of Creativity LTC. Prominent features of LTCs are that they utilize digital knowledge for educational purposes, engage students in higher order thinking, and promote the development of emotional intelligence.

that's great miss Amal! I wish I had been there to attend your seminar. i believe the integration of models such as the poblem-based learning with effective teaching methods can be a successful begining towards raising a generation that utilizes higher level of thinking when dealing with issues in and out of context.
