4th Annual Conference for ERC: Education for Innovation

The 4th annual conference, Education for Innovation was held in Brumana, Lebanon on March 24 and 25, 2012. My paper presentation included the theoretical background for project-based teaching, in addition to a sample project-at-work that facilitates students' acquisition of necessary academic skills in a real life context where students enjoy the learning process, socialize and collaborate, laugh, touch, feel... while learning. From my personal experience, project based teaching increases students’ engagement and self efficacy, and decreases behavior problems and the students' affective filter, all of which are essential for optimal learning conditions.  Teaching through projects can be applied at all levels of the educational hierarchy.
The conference, held on March 24 and 25, 2012, allowed for interaction and exchange of experiences with prominent figures in the field of education and innovation from Lebanon and across the world
